he is talking about X10 modual like these.http://cgi.ebay.com/X-10-PRO-PAM02-3...3286.m14.l1318

if you want the extension part that conrols 8 outlets that would be either the DC 8 or you can get a smaller one called the DC 4.

the DC8 runs around 150.00 and the DC 4 about 125.00

the problem with using the cheap X10's it that you can get interference with them and sometimes will turn on and off equipment when they are not supposed to.

1.) Great price if it is a AC3!
2.) How is this a ASAP? http://www.neptunesys.com or the forums here as they are sponsor as well.

30 seconds of searching on their site or posting in the forums below would have gotten your answer as well. But Yes you need a DC8 or a DC4 HD if you want to control your lights on it assuming they are T5 or MH.

If you are going to use X10's, you will need the x10 modules shown above to control each item. However, you will also need one of these for the system so that the controller can talk to all the x10's:

Honestly I wouldn't fuss with the X10 modules. Get yourself a DC8 from Neptune. It's litterally plug and play. Program that bad boy, sit back and enjoy. Been using a Jr setup for a few years now. It's a great system.

I daisy chained by DC 8 and X10's, as one DC 8 can not run everything in my case. Plus the DC8 is only in one spot and much of the equipment does not easily reach it.

The DC8 is an 8 outlet breakout box that connects direct to your Aquacontroller Jr. Then all you do is plug in your devices (i.e. pumps, heater, lights, etc..) to the DC8. The DC8 eliminates the need for anything X10. From there you just need to program the controller to control the devices you've plugged in. Easy peasy.

Aquacontroller Jr > DC8 > Devices to Control... it's really that simple.

Yes, however, the DC 8 can only handle Max 6 Amps, total current must be less than 15 Amps (from their website), so you may not be able to plug everything into it.
