lighting question?

has anyone ever used hps lighting ? I've heard of and seen the hps lights used as floodlights and stuff like that but never to light a fish tank. any thoughts or ideas?

They are very low Kelvin, ie very, very yellow in color.

btw hps lights are high pressure sodium lights
