Pre Filter Socks????????

Just wondering How you would go about cleaning them I mean the LFS says they bleach them and rinse them well dry andthen rinse them again but doesnt sound like good idea??? I just wonder if Hot water would get rid of all bacteria??? Just wanted some thoughts on this

Just buy a couple (like 5) and when you have to change em, put the dirty one inside a bucket with lid until you have like 3 of em dirty and throw the in the wash machine without detergent. I heard people swear by the bleach, but you never know how much residue is still left. And as far as the hot water idea...unless you can spin the detrious out of the sock...leave it to the wash machine to make it clean..

cup full of bleach is ok then an extra rinse then let them sit on the window sill in the sun until fully dry.

The sun will break down the cholrine.

I have a small HOT magnum and this how I clean my water polisher.

I throw mine in the washer with no soap and no bleach, let them air dry. Seems clean. No problems for over a year.

i wash mine in the machine with bleach only, then another wash with just water, then dried in the sun and never had an issue.
