live rock

I have 90 lbs live rock . Question is is it ok to let rock dry out and start fresh.I have heard here that people rinse cleans is the best way any feadback would be appreciated.

Well that is only if there is something wrong with the rock like too much algae or ich on it then dry it but really if nothing is wrong with it just put it in

Just do what I did 3 days ago.
Get a 5 gallon bucket fill it with old tank water when you are about to do another water change.

Use soem old hair brush that has lots of bristles and scrub the rock while it is under water then shake/rinse/dip repeat if needed then put back in the tank.

Looks like he wants it dead anyway but this way it is clean live rock with mostly just algae on it and not any other life.

also if you want to start out fresh then you would buy dead rock instead.

Actually that would just "clean" the rock not kill it so life forms will still be on it only detritus and algae comes off
