Help lighting my 65
I want to go with halides on my new 65 gallon tank. Measures 36x18x 24 high. My question is will one 250 watt hqi be enough to light the whole tank for some sps but mainly just lps?

Does yours have a center brace?
Over my 58 ( not as tall as a 65 by a couple of inches ), which doesn't have a center brace, I am running 2*250 SE ( 20K ) plus 2*96 PC. My tank is mainly SPS.

Ive got 2x150w MH on my 65 with 42w of t5 act. I was running Aqualine AB 10k bulbs but am switching to Phoenix 14k bulbs. That brace will create a shadow with just the single bulb.

Was thinking of cutting out the brace and replace with 2 thin acrylic strips. What do you thimk?
