Phosphate reactor?

Trying to see what reactors people are using. What you like or dislike ab out them. And size of system. I have 270 gallons total water volume and looking for best options at reasonable price

i use the two little fishes reactors for both my gfo and carbon - mj400's with ball valves on them to control flow- very easy to set up, maintain - and a very good price

I use the Precision Marine SR45 I use one for carbon and the other for phosphate media. I liked the extra capacity for both carbon and Rowaphos. I am using it on a 288g soon to be 508g system.

You will need to provide the water supply. I use a manifold off my return pump. A small MJ would work as well.

The two little fishies phosban 150 is rated for a 150g so you would just string two together.
Great product easy to setup, maintain and they're actually priced appropriately.

There is no rating for the PM Reactors. I just compared the size of the Two Little Fishies with the SR45. The TLF is 17 x 4.5, rated for 150 and the PM is 26 x 5.75. I figured it was roughly double and should work on a 288. (Got them before I got the new 220) The basic function of each is the same so assumed size would matter. I would have needed 4 TLF, 2 for carbon, 2 for phosphate. The 4 would have cost me about the same as 2 PMs.

Hope this helps.

All reactors work, though I prefer ones without the center downflow tube, like the PM one.

there is a capacity of how much media they will hold. the media instructions should indicate how much is needed.

I have the MRC FMC-415 (http://www.myreefcreations.com/produ...roducts_id=287). I prefer the horizontal and downward connectors of the MRC over the vertical and upward connectors of the PM.
