iodine?
some say that u need to dose iodine to maintain
softies... some say not... my ricordias are shrunken for the past few days... and i was getting worried... so i went to the drug store... got a bottle of iodine (tincture) and added a few drops to my tank... now it the ricordias are opening up... any comment on using the tincture? |

http://www.advancedaquarist.com:80/i...l2003/chem.htm there are 2 good articals on iodine. IMO you don't need to dose it if you do your regular water changes and if you do dose make sure your testing for it. overdosing will do more harm than not dosing at all. |

ALSO.....what salt salt are you using.??? I used to use IO....I always had to add calcium & Iodine. I now use OCEANIC Reef Natural sea salt..........The Calcium & Iodine are right on the money
