Question Feet Or No Feet?

Setting up an Aquapod for my boy. I got the stand for it. The last step on the instructions is to screw in these plastic "feet" sort of like hockey pucks underneath the bottom of the stand. This raises the bottom off the floor by about an inch or a bit more. Seems less stable that way.

I'm thinking of removing them.

Anyone here have an Aquapod stand? Did you use the feet?

My first nanocube stand I used the feet, my second larger stand I didn't due to stability issue's as well.

I think it's a personal call, if you feel better without them it can't hurt anything.

I don't have one of those. I have no experience with the stability of them. HOWEVER, I had a 75 gallon on a wood floor about 7-8 years ago. My kids spilled a cup of milk next to it, and it leached under it. I'll spare the details. It was the typical pine stand, directly on the floor. The tank is no longer there, and the wood floors have been refinished since. I know what I would do, but I don't know that tank stand/stability. Good luck, no pun intended.

I think the feet are good if you are on carpet, pushed down so it does not sit at a slope if there is one, if you are on a wood floor it would be the same --- just my guess

I installed them and like you, thought they were less than an improvement over "feetless".

I had mine running for a year and a half or so with no feet on the stand. My father has been running the system for over a year now the same way.

You can skip the feet.

Thanks! Set it up with no feet. Should have softies and a fish in there before the boy gets back to town in about 10 days. (No cycle, using rock from my sump and fuge, and several cups of sand from my fuge, all water from my system).
