VHO wiring
I am getting ready to wire my VHO retro into my hood. My question is this: Can I use stranded wire opposed to a solid wire for the endcaps. I have bought some wire that is water proof, but it is stranded, not solid. When I used these for my last tank, I used solid strand wire, because that is what I had laying around.
Just don't want to screw anything up! Thanks, Ron

Stranded will not stay tight in the stab connectors of the endcaps and may pull loose and cause a fire.
Get the correct solid wire in the correct gauge and do it right the first time would be my advice. |
