90 Gallon Sump
Hey folks,
I'm upgrading my system so that I have a 90 gal AGA (with overflow) for my display, and a 90 gal sump in the basement. I'm looking for anyone that might possibly have exact baffle measurements for a 90 gal sump? It's an AGA tank. 48" x 24" x 18". I need to call the glass shop to get them cut, and I'd like to ensure I get the right depth on each baffle. I'll need 4 baffles, each 18" tall, so that I'll have 6" of extra height to allow for extra water volume when the system is off (power outage). I'm not certain on the depth though. The depth of the tank is 18", but I believe the glass on the AGA is 1/2" thick, which would put my tank internal depth at 17". Anyone have a 90gal sump? Can you help confirm the depth measurement? Thanks! Dave |

I stand corrected. The glass is actually 3/8" think (measured when I got home from work), which puts my internal depth at 17 1/4".
So I'm going to get 4 x 18" x 17 1/4" baffles for this sump. 1/4" thick each. Guess I just needed to think out loud. Dave |
