eHow Article - 24 steps to setting up a 240gal reef
Anyone else see this article on setting up a 240 gallon aquarium: http://www.ehow.com/how_2210859_set-...r-captive.html ? I was searching around google and found it.
I guess to comment I need to create an account, but I don't even know where I would start. My only thought was to say that setting up a 240gal reef tank is probably not well suited for the eHow format. NOTE: Newbies - disregard this article as this is not how you want to successfully setup a reef tank! |

IT'S THAT EASY!
No cycle no nothing... Everything done in an afternoon... but just make sure you have a chiller and ozone though, or you're screwed. To think I've been doing it the hard way all this time.

my favorite part (this is the order it is given in the directions): 1. arrange the corals, anemones as you like. 2. add water 3. add salt |

I signed up to eHow just so I could comment on this article. Somebody might read that, and actually think that's it's good advice. I was going to throw up RC's url, but I wasn't sure if that was allowed.

There are dozens more and they are all horrible...
Not one that I looked at said to use anything but tap water. One says to do water changes using dechlorinated tap water *without salt added*.

I can't link to it now, came up on the eHow search, but clicking the link redirected me to the main eHow page

I can't get to the 240gal article now as well - even searching. Maybe it was removed? Can anyone else get to it?
Some of the other articles I read I wasn't in 100% complete agreement with on everything, but this one was just so off. If they have removed it that is good as I wouldn't want any newbie tumbling on to it and having everything go wrong for them. |
