leveling a tank
i just made a new stand for a tank upgrade i am planning. my stand is level but the floor slopes to a drain in the floor. its nothing major when i have a level on the stand the bubble is pretty much in the middle but i can see that its off a smidge. how are people leveling stands i have ideas but i would like to hear more.

is your tank glass or acrylic? Glass is MUCH more sensitive to uneven water pressure then a good acrylic tank. How much of a slope is it in how many feet? Like is it 1/16th off over 4 feet?

my current tank is acrylic i am not worried about it at all. the next tank will be glass. i think 1/8" maybe 3/16" over 5 feet is close

Wooden door shims under the stands corners and uprights work well.
On mine it was a long gradual slope too so I ripped a long tapered piece off a 2x4 that extends the whole length. |
