Any reason not to like the tiny blue legs?
They're so cute and tiny, I bought a few of them for novelty but now I kind of want to buy another 50 or so. Any reason not to for a SPS/zoa reef?

I've had a blue legger since I started (i think he killed off the other two...) and he's been pretty good. A couple snails have met an untimely demise, but other than that no issues so far. He's gotten quite large, now inhabiting a full grown Nassarius shell (one of his victims.)
I picked up about 10 of the real tiny ones for my new tank, but haven't really moved any corals in so far.

I find them to be the most aggressive towards themselves, other hermits and snails.
there reef safe, but are big bullies I stick with scarlet red reef hermits, they seem to be the most docile (and prettier IMO) Make sure to leave plenty of empty snail shells laying around, this will dissolve some of the aggression for "homes", this goes for all hermits.

We're all talking about the same blue legs right? These guys I picked up are way tinier than scarlets or nassarius snails. I'd say from one far leg to the other, they may only be 3-5 millimeters.

snails meet untimely demises without a hermit in sight.
![]() It's the fate of snails. I love the little micros. Bluelegs and scarlets.

Very true!
The hermit is definitely a suspect when he turns up wearing the poor soul's shell, however ![]()

For crabs they are aggressive towards other crabs and snails. They wont bother your corals or fish. They are very good at keeping my tank clean.

My blue-leg attacks all the other hermits in the tank. He has killed a few also.
