acclimating corals to new reflectors?

I just made a diy lumenarc style reflector and I'm going to use it on my zoanthid tank.
I currently have a pretty funky spider reflector that is very dirty and I'm wondering, should I acclimate the corals to the new reflector?

I've always used the eggcrete/window screen method to acclimate a tank to new, higher power lighting.
Should I do the same with the new reflector?

I can see more light being produced so as a precaution I would acclimate the corals.
