+1 , but I rinse twice, and only air dry, don't throw them in the dryer.

the key is to allow the chlorine time to evaporate out of the sock--i usually dry mine outside in the summer time. In the winter I have to use the dryer

I soak mine in a 2.5g bucket with a little water till its full of some socks at end of week. When I get enough I will place just a tad bit of bleach in the washer run it through a wash cycle and 2 rinse cycles and then air dry.
Been doing that for 3 yrs with no issues until the socks get old overtime and need replacing..

Soak in a bucket w/ a little bleach then put them through wash machine w/o soap, then a few rinses and dry out in sun to blow off the chlorine.

I've always been too nervous to use bleach. Are you guys SURE it's not harmfull in any way? I've always flipped mine inside out and ran water from a hose through it. Pain in the butt but I watch a ton of stuff come out.

its not harmful as long as you let the socks dry in the air and any chlorine that has not dissolved in the water is allowed to evaporate into the air.

BTW
I only run my sock for 12 hours a week while and after I clean the main tank with a turkey baster
