Skimmer question
I just bought my octopus 110 online, and should arrive soon this week.
Am I supposed to leave it on 24/7? Or is there a certain period I should run it for? Someone told me 8 hours a day, every other day. Is that good? Oh, and I forgot to say.. its a 36 gallon system, plan on keeping 2 true percs and a midas blenny and maybe a goby or two. Corals are (soon to be) SPS LPS softies (and clams!) |

Run it 24/7 if you want it to work the best for you. Turning on and off will never let it build up the good foam that it needs for the skimming.

24/7 keep in mind most skimmers need an adjustment period.

leave it on all the time--your fish are producing organics all the time and you want these removed and kept miminal all the time
