Ricordea in trouble?

Hi,
I just got two new (my first) rics from an RC member this week. One came attached to a rock and one was unattached. The one that was unattached ended up getting knocked into a deep hole. Since he couldn't get light, I used long tongs and carefully removed him. I may have injured him on the way out though. Anyway, I put him in a different spot (low flow, lowish light) and a few hours later I find him halfway in another hole. My questions are:

1: If I injured him with the tongs, can he recover?
2: Are there any steps I should take to help?
3: Do rics have the ability to move or should I risk the tongs again?

It would have been nice if it had come already mounted. The one that came mounted is doing great. Not that I'm blaming the seller, mind you, just venting a little.

Thanks for any help,
Grant

He should be able to recover, I don't know of anything to do to aid in the injury, and they can move about a little when they need to get more light. Next time you get a free polyp, figure out a way to secure it well before just placing it in the tank.

I have had this happen to a few of mine and they have always recovered. I think you will be fine.
