blow off rocks??

Ok, I have read something about cleaning off the rocks, using what, a turkey baster? I do have a vortec, it works pretty good with water movement.But On any back areas?

I usually just use the ol' turkey baster a few minutes before a water change. Knock off a few of the rocks and maybe lightly hit a few small spots on the sand bed. On the next water change I would hit some different areas. A small powerhead works just fine too.

I usually use a MJ powerhead one day before a waterchange. Sometimes I'll do it twice a week. Obviously you want to be careful, but my hand would get tired with a turkey baster

trukey baster about once a week b4 a water change or filter sock change.

Like others have said, a turkey baster or low powered powerhead. get the backs of the rocks as best you an, there's a lot of collection back there in a lot of tanks.
