Does anything eat halmeda algae?
I dont know too much about halmeda other than it uses calcium to grow. I never used to have any in my tank at all but now out of know where it is taking over. Would a urchin or emerald crab reduce the amount of pruning of this algae?

Pull it out by hand. I had two huge clumps in my tank at one point. I pulled them out and it never came back.
