AquaC Urchin Pro
Hi Folks,
Is anybody familiar with the AquaC Urchin Pro protien Skimmer. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks, Jim |

For a 90, I'd go something bigger. I like ASM skimmers.
I use a Remora and it's good but it's only on a 29 gallon tank. If you get the Urchin get the upgraded pump. |

I think IMO tho Remora/Urchin line should be rated half of the manufacturer stated, I had the remora, then the urchin but it's in a BC29 and it does great.
I scored an Urchin Pro but have not tried yet although I would not use it on any larger than 60 gallon system ASM are similar to ER, under-rated so if the manufacturer states 100G medium bio-load is more than good for that |

I am running an Urchin with an Odessey 500 pump on it. If you up the pump size a bit, they work not to bad. I have the collection cup as high as it will go, Still emptying dark stinky skimmate every 2 days
This is on a 45g tank |
