not real sure about there stuff. i bought a jebo light set up one time off of ebay and it seemed kinda cheap so i sent it back. half of it acted like it wanted to fall apart. so i built my own metal halide set up . think i did a better job.

Do a search, there used to be quite the commotion about them, though that may have ben corrected...ballasts catching fire and stuff...though they are and have always been cheap, though that doesn't quite mean they are all crap.
After dealing with hundreds of CF/MH fixtures: Coralife = Best, we sell these, we get these in used, sell them, get them back in used, sell them, replace ballasts rarely, sell them, pop in a ne LED, sell them Current = Waste of money, WHEN it breaks it is done, though I'm sure there are many out there that will work great forever. We don't sell or recommend these, and places that do just enjoy the profit margins and telling customers "too bad" when they break, but when you stand behind what you sell then they suck. Jebo = Never seen one in person, but after lurking here for a few years I am very weary of them. At one point they sold a 175W Doubled Ended Metal Halide...I'mma let that sink in for a second.

I had a jebo R390 200 litre... After 2 months the ballasts were giving trouble and evenutally the lights would not operate. It took me pulling the thing apart every time to get it to fire up. Was sent back to LFS a few times who replaced the ballasts/new light setup but problems continued.
I also have a R352 67 litre QT tank that has the same problem. I ended up getting rid of the large Jebo and bought a 600 litre (6x2x2) tank. Best thing I could have done! |
