Just some feather duster Q's and wierd white fluids???

ive just begun curing my live rock in my tank for the past three days now. things seem to be going good with a handfull of feather dusters ranging from big to tiny popping up around the place. one piece of rock in particular has quite a few of them, this rock in particular has been releasing some kind of white transparent fluid from its surface in little white plumes. this is all occurring from the one spot and seems to have small rock particles suspended within it as its released. Im have been unable to take any kind of picture since it happens rarely and is diffused into the water only after a few seconds. Im wondering if this could be a small feather duster worm burrowing its way to the surface or something serious i need to be worried about? anykind of help relating to this or featherdusters in general would be awesome, thanks.

Are you sure you have feather dusters sprouting all over your tank and not aptasia? I have no idea what the white fluid might be, but why don't you submit a few photos of the feather dusters?

The white fluid sounds like what i have, which is dying cyano bacteria. My rocks had a pretty good amount of it on them, as it dies it turns from red to white, then kind of drifts off into the water like you said, kinda of like in a string almost, then dissipates into the water after a few seconds. Not sure if this is what you have, but it sounds similar.
