Looking for a new skimmer

Hello everyone, hope you all had a good labor day weekend.
I'm currently looking for a new quiet skimmer for my 20 gal. My roommate says my skimmer is too loud, which is a AquaC Remora. I don't have a problem with the noise but I don't want to make the roommate mad. I'm hoping to upgrade the tank in the future (year or 2) to somewhere around 45-55gal, so something I can use now and later. any suggestions would be great! Thanks.

Try this:
1. Remove the collection cup
2. Take a damp paper towl and fold in up in like a small square(2"x2") about the size that would fit directly over the intake thingy.
3. Place the collection back on top like you normally would and see if that helps. I did when I had my remora running and worked like a charm.

try this:
remove garbage can lid
dump remora in garbage
walk away and dont ever look back...ever

for a 20g i would suggest the Warner Marine h1 for $229,
but hell even a bakpak is better than the remora, and quieter.
and you could mesh mod it. same with the warner marine skimmer

my thread about modding a bakpak on RF:
