Refugium suggestions
My refugium currently has about a 1" bed of refugium mud, 6 bunches of macroalgae and 1 Blue Damsel--should I put anything else in there?

I would put about 4 inches of regular sand on top of the mud. That way you can have a remote deep sand bed. The DSB will help remove nitrates from the water. Then I'd add some nassarius snails or something like that to stir up the sand bed.

Make sure that macro has good lighting and that the snails can not get into the return pump.
