is this t5ho fixture adequate for clams and corals

Im looking at this fixture and was wondering if it is adequate for crocea clams or corals. Im not too concerned about the corals but im wondering about the clams. This says it will replace a 400 watt metal halide fixture 1 for 1 and has individual reflectors. If anyone is using this please send me some reviews on how ur tank is doing and ur setup.
heres the link

Im also looking at the aquanitics 48"t5ho fixture with 5 bulbs and individual reflectors. Would this fixture be more adequate. Also i currently have 260 watts of pc that i could use with this fixture if needed. Would that be enough?

Thanks

Ive never seen that light before. Not all individual reflectors are created equal though so wait for someone that has used it before jumping on it. What size tank is this for? Croceas are the most light demanding of clams so the Aquactinics is a possiblilty depending on the dimensions of your tank.

It may be if you overdrive the lamps with icecap 660 ballasts. But really you should look up the grim reefer and ask him. He knows all that is T5.

Looks shabby. I wouldnt expect it to hold up long. The endcaps arent sealed making it a problem for salt creep. Good luck.

I have a 75 gal with clams using a Tek 6 bulb and they do great, even at the bottom which is 18 inches, a bow front is going to be deeper so I'd go at least 6 bulb and keep them mid to upper level.
I had a 4 bulb and it just was not going to cut it for SPS and clams. Like d4a2n0k said, crocea's need more light as do maxima's.
