RO/DI related algae outbreak?

Hey guys, I'm using and air water ice typhoon III and can't get my TDS nelow 1. Even after changing my cartridges it still lingers around 1. I am considering getting a spectrapure unit from reeffx.
I'm wondering if the TDS is contributing to my hair algae outbreak or if it is something else.
I have a 225 sps tank. I have a reeflo 200 skimmer with a lifereef sump without a fuge. I have 2 tunze 6201's on a multi controller. I also started to dose kalk a few weeks ago and may have seen little progress. I run prodibio bio digest and bioptim and have 0 nitrates and undetectable phosphates with an API test kit (I know its not the best but I don't have a photometer)
I have a photo period of about 6 hours. By the way I also have cyano growing on one side of my tank. The hair algae is growing sporadically throughout the tank in little blotches.
Is there a cure to get to the bottom of this instead of covering it up temporarily? Please let me know if you need any more info or pictures. I am very worried that this will start taking over everything and I will need to tear it down. Thanks.

I seriously doubt if a TDS of 1 is causing your problems but a switch to a Spectrapure MaxCap system would be a good move. You will get superior water quality in the 18+ megaohm range and 4 or 5 times the DI life.
