brown hair like algae

I am having some serious issues w/ algae.
Water tests stable. No Phosphates detected.....my tank got a little warm due to my Reefkeeper Jr thermometer probe going out on me for the second time. Ran around 80-82 for a week or two but that was over 2 months ago....
Any idea what could be causing it? HELP!!!!
