Can I keep an Anemone

I have a 55gallon tank with 260 watt compact Lighting, I am wondering if I have enough lighting to keep an anemone for my 2 clowns.
Thank you
Brooks

Probably, but what anemone are you hoping to keep?

I have a 250w MH, and 2 anemones for my 2 clowns.
They are doing great for about a year now.

MH and PC are not comparable PAR/Watt lighting systems.

You could probably keep a BTA under 260w PC, but I personally would recommend upgrading to a 6 bulb T5HO fixture or halides.

Well I have 2 Tomato Clowns that I want to get an anemone for, most likely something like a Sebae Anemone.
Thanks for the info

I would only do an BTA in that tank. With those lights, I don't think there will be enough for a Sebae. BTAs, prefer the rocks, compared to a Sebae which prefers the sandbed, so the BTA will be closer to the lights.

What bulbs do you have? Are they all daylight, or some actinics?

Really think that a BTA is your only choice, and you are at the low end for lights, IMO.

Here is a couple of pictures of my BTA, right before I sold it.

With flash.
