How to QT an invert?

If you have an invert you want to put in your tank how do you ensure its not carrying any harmful hitchhikers or parasite/diseases?

Obviously you can't treat it with anything but what's the protocal?

what kind of invert? coral, shrimp, anemone, crab, snail? there are a number of coral dips available, and QT is an option, but it really dpends on what you're hoping to add.

well that urchin i found the other day, I was thinking about adding it. I'm doing more research to see whether or not this is a bad idea but once I found out if I can put it in there I want to make sure it doesn't add any "crap" to the tank.
