MRC MR-2 Skimmer to much??

I am considering buying a MRC-MR2 to skim my future 90-120g reef. I can find one locally used for an asking price of 315 dollars complete with a mag 18. What do you think about this price?

Is there any down side for having an oversized skimmer? Also, I would like to hear anyone's first hand experience with this skimmer.

I have this skimmer on my 90 gal. sps zeo tank. a mag 18 will not do as well as a pcx55 or 70 (i just upgraded to a pcx-70 from a little giant...way better) you will definitely not regret buying this skimmer. I love mine. takes a little adjusting at first, but after you do it is a skimming machine! if you have more questions let me know.

The MR2 is a fantastic skimmer, especially since you can add a second injector to increase it's capacity. IMO, you can never overskim...there's no such thing!

Like mod77 said, the mag 18 won't really do it any favors, but you won't regret the purchase. If I were you, I'd sell the mag and get and external (pan world ps-150 or 200), then you'll really see what the skimmer can do.
