just about anything that is chopped into small enough pieces and is raw, uncooked, unseasoned, etc. but it can be an expensive route to take when feeding your fish.

My local grocery has mixed raw seafood in the freezer section. I use that and sushi wrap to make fish food, it costs about $7 to make about a pound of quality fish food. I freeze it flat in sandwich sized ziplock baggies with no air inside and it keeps for several months.

Any seafood you use should be raw and have no additives. The most common additive is phosphate used as a preservative

I use those frozen seafood "medleys" that I buy at the grocery store. I blend it up, add some selcon, and freeze.

The seafood medley contains shrimp, squid, octupus, cuttlefish, clams, and mussels. It makes for a very nutritious blend of fish food. I have had problems getting the pieces small enough sometimes.

be very careful that no preservatives or flavorings are added to frozen seafood, and that any clam you want to feed to your tank is alive when you do that---bad clam is bad clam.
