Cheap Ro filter advice
was browsing ro filters today and noticed on the foster and smith website there was a very cheap ro filter running about $37. Here is a link to the filter, is it worth the money, or is it a cheap pos that will need constant replacement and sucks? Anyone with experience with this filter plz reply.

That is not an RO filter or anywhere close to one.
It is a very small capacity DI filter good for about 25 total gallons of water period. Don't waste your money. A good RO/DI will cost you just over $150 by the time you get necessary components like a TDS meter, inline pressure gauge, high quality filters, housings and fittings, a full sixed vertical DI canister and refillable cartridge etc. Any less and you give up important things like filter life, water quality, replacement filter availability and affordability and total system life. Although most units look the same from the outside its whats inside that really counts. Probably the best unit for the price is the 75 GPD Premium from www.buckeyefieldsupply.com . At $169 complete with everything I mentioned and more, it can't be touched. |
