Dead Coralline Algae
Hi,
I am giving up the hobby and have sold my lighting and creatures, but not the rock. The rock has turned white due to coralline algae die-off. Once exposed to light again will the coralline come back? Thanks |

I love saltwater creatures, but don't love the work involved. Shame!
If the coralline won't come back, will the white eventually disappear? Thanks. |

It'll be covered by new coraline algae if put back in the right tank conditions. If you keep the rock out of a saltwater it'll remain white forever because it's calcium carbonate.

Once put back in a tank with light the coraline will come back.
