can micro bubbles be bad

As the title say can micro bubbles bad, as in kill fish and corals. I finally set up my 29 gallon witha 15 gallon sump and I am getting micro bubles in my display tank (29). It doesnt both me to much and if it wont harm any corals of fish I might just leave it be.

It is interesting.
Where did you get the information from?
If this is a problem like said above, what is there to be done?

Definitely Not.

See this TOTM:

For over a year now, I’ve been injecting air into the closed-loops and their associated Penductors. I originally started this as an experiment but now feel the results are positive and will continue to do so.

Plenty of micro bubbles in the ocean. It does makes the tank look weird and causes salt creep. The bigger concern is where are they coming from? Leaky plumbing?

if you check he inyect air in at certain moments! not all the time!
i mean the microbubbles not are introducing 24/7, just a few times at day!

and the microbubbles are good for your corals at all!

Of course he's not injecting 24/7.

I'm not sure if you meant to say "and the microbubbles are not good for your corals at all" or that they are good for corals.

The question was "can microbubbles be bad, as in kill fish and corals." The answer is no. If a massive flood of microbubbles however many times a day doesn't irritate that guy's fish and coral, the few the OP has certainly won't be a problem.

thanks for the information guys. the bubbles come from the intake in the sump. Im going to get a filter sock as of right now I have a net under where the water goes into the sump with filter floss for right now. I works good. I dont get alot of buble in the display very little. They dont bother me as far as looks are concerned I just wanted to make sure it wont hurt any live stock in the future. you guys are very helpful and I am glad I joined this forum.

As a rule of thumb if you can see them they are OK relatively speaking.
It's the ones you can't see that can cause problems.
As an example you can have a pumps suction side become so restricted that it can actually pull gas out of the water and cause micro bubbles and some can be so fine that they can enter fish and cause a condition like an air embolism. You some times hear this condition referred to as gas bubble disease or bubble eye ( which is different compared to a fish with a protruding eye due to swelling.) I recently just experienced this problem. My main return pump started blowing out very fine bubbles. It looked like dust. I had my dominant male Short Snout anthias get bubble eye from it.
The problem was that some small chestnut turbos had gotten into the pumps volute and caused a restriction. I removed the shells and the problem was fixed. An interesting side bar is that I lost the fish. Over time the condition would have corrected itself once the problem was taken care of but the subordinate male immediately starting attacking the disfigured dominant male and I was only able to catch him once he was laying on the bottom and that was too late. This happens sometimes in fish that school. Injured fish are attacked and expelled so to speak. Now the once subordinate male rides heard over the females instead of being restricted to one section of the tank as before.

Thank you jd I was hoping someone was going to mention gas bubble disease as I was reading this thread. I have only witnessed this once in person (thankfully), that poor fish.
