help sps ora fell

I just found my ora blue tort upside down in the sand.

Should I cut off the top or leave it alone.

Looks like it lost some skin off the top.

You can either cut off the top to where the tissue is good, or if you're running a system with very low nitrates, are using RO/DI water, and maintain KH and Calcium levels it should slowly encrust back over the damaged area.

id say cut it so algae doesnt grow on it.

IME, it should overgrow it, even with algae (of course, depending upon what kind of algae it is).
