What's up with my durso?

My 180 has 2 drains in the overflow box, and each drain has a durso. Lately I've found that one of the drain stops draining, even though the durso elbow is under the waterline. It works for a while when I restart the pump but eventually stops. Any ideas?

Could there be something in there that clogs it. Like algae that gets stuck but when the drain pressure stops it floats up and frees but then clogs once it starts again?
