Just Got Setup

I just got my equipment last sunday (9/7), equipment listed at signature.

It came with 10 boulders about 7-10lbs each, wasn't live, had been taken out of tank for a few days, I am seeding it with some other live rock.

Day 1 I added 1 Blue Devil Damsel, have since taken him out and replaced with 2 Blue Chromis.

6th Day: added a pair of False Clowns (1 Male/1 Female) male died within the hour....also added 6 tiny blue leg hermits.

Can someone tell me what type and how many hermits/snails I should add right now....I know some of you have different types of snails so I'd like to get a diverse cleaning crew for my size tank.

Thanks,
Jon

Any other info for a newbie would be helpful

will be adding pictures soon.

slow and staedy wins the race

Before you add anything else, have you tested the water to see what your pH, Ammonia, and Nitrates/Nitrites are? I let everything cure for about two weeks and had ammonia and Nitrates down to zero, and had a nice coat of algae growing before I added anything to mine.

none
you're going too fast
stop and do your research first
the archives found at the end of the forums list are a good place to start, or the first thread in this forum by waterkeeper (new first time on RC, look here for answers)

in either of those threads read up on cycling

if you rush things there will be consequences
ie dead fish, longer time spent stabilizing your tank, etc

best advice:
never listen to anything anyone tells you if they have something to gain by you listeniing
and
be patient
