VHO light question, problem setting it up...
Hey guys, my wife and I are putting on a used vho/halide set up currently, as in, as I type. The VHO's will turn on for half a second when they are first plugged into the wall, and then go out again. Any ideas? If I unplug and replug they'll flicker on for half a sec and then out again. If I unplug them from the balast and plug in I get the same behavior, so it doesn't seem to matter if the plug is reconnected from the balast, or the wall, through a timer or not. Not sure what to do. They worked fine at our friends fish store, we bought the canopy and lights off of him. Something simple I hope? THanks for any tips. I'd call him but he's not around currently.

Is this on an icecap ballast? If so I had this problem. Check all the connections to the pin in the wiring harness. Im guessing one is loose. You will need a new wiring harness.
If not cant help, besides check to make sure endcaps are tight and all wiring is done according to diagram.
