lighting duration question
i have a 180 gallon display.. i only have a few things in it as of now.... mostly zoas and ricordia. but with it being such a new tank... and my first tank with halides ( 2. 250 wt with 2 72" VHO for actinic).. what type of time span are most of you using your halides and actinics for? i do plan on putting some sps in later down the road... but it will be mostly sps... thanks for any input in advance.
Cheers

I run mhs for 9 1/2 hours. Actinics one hour either side.
I have 2 x 400x MHs over a 150g sps tank

I would run the actinic for 12 hours and the mh for 10 hours. The actinic come on one hour before and stay on one hour later then the mh. I have done this for a long time and my sps do great. IMO
