Question want to add fish

I have a 75 gallon tank with a 30 gal sump its cycled for about 2 months now. I have 50 lbs of live rock right now with the intention of getting 50 lbs more. I would like to add two fish so I have something to look at would it be ok I don't have caupta (spelling) in my sump yet should that be first

I added fish when all signs of ammonia and nitrate were gone and my 2 fish did just fine. The only problem is when adding more rock you will cause the levels to spike again, resulting in dead fish.

You should add the additional 50lbs of live rock first. Adding them will cause a new cycle. Test for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate again and add fish only when nitrites drop to zero.

The only exception to this rule is if you buy LR from an LFS or a local reefer and you're able to drop the LR into your tank very quickly. In this situation, you would not get any die off so you won't get an ammonia spike.
