Viper Clamp Lamp. How do u like it?

I'm thinking about getting a small little viper clamp lamp to put on a small tank. Either the 70w or 150 w. It looks sleek.

Anybody use the Viper clamp lamp and like it?

Thanks

I have a 24 nano tank and use the aquaeuro HQI Hang-on!

I have a friend with the viper light and he likes everything but the light footprint! With the housing being so small it seems to give more of a spotlight effect. I went with the Aquaeuro 100w 14k model. With the aquaeuro hang on it has a bigger housing and the hammertone reflector gives a nice light footprint on the entire nano! My friend is thinkin about switchin.

I bought 2 of the Viper 70 watt clamp-ons for a 20 gallon long.
I was never really happy with the amount of light produced.
One of the lights kept blowing bulbs, so the company would keep sending replacements, but would never replace the ballast, which had to be the reason for the bulb failures.
The reflectors were joke.
So I'd pass on the 70 watt version and check for reveiws on the 150's

150 worked well for me. Supposedly there is a model with a built in fan as well...wish I had that when I had the 24g.

Thanks for the input. Maybe I'll have to try the 150 with the fan.

burton, Nice setup. Looks good. Are those Tunze 6055 nano's?
I have two 6055 tunze nanos and they are awesome.

Never used the viper, but I've used the coralife version, 150 hqi on a 40 breeder and it worked well IMO.

They're actually two modded 6025's so they were pushing over 1000 gph. They're salt mixers for my 120g now though
