yep....super glue. But the gel. some frags do get really slimy and are hard to glue down. But most people frag with it.

if you are trying to frag something that does get slimy when cut..try putting rubble around it to see if it will grab hold. Some try to frag and then put in with a shell or rubble for it to fall and take hold in a holding area with no current..small container in main tank and such. I have done this with mushrooms.

I never got the glue to work for my frags, but the ruble method works great. Then, I just glue the rubble to my rocks.

It depends on what you're fragging. Superglue gel works great for anything with a calcerous skeleton. For most soft corals it's going to be difficult to impossible. There are various methods for soft corals. For mushrooms, there are a couple basic ways. The first is to secure them to a frag plug or piece of rock rubble until they attach themselves. You can use needle and thread, a rubber band (secured just tight enough to keep them from floating away), a toothpick, bridal veil, and probably a host of other things. The second method that I've taken to is to put them in a covered container where the bottom is lined with sand. You'll want holes in the container so you can get some water flow. After a week or two, the mushroom will attach to the sand, and then you can glue it wherever you want it. I've come to hate fragging soft corals.

i hate fragging soft also...it's like trying to secure a snot.

that's why laying rubble around worked for me to give some away. Didn't try the veil but good idea.
