You'll need a repair kit for removing scratches from windshield glass. It's slow and boring.

Does it get the job done? Safe for aquariums (no harmful chemicals, etc?)

it can work . it is just epoxy.
over all though it is not going to be perfect and most people will say that once the glass is scratched up you might as well get a new one. atleast you have a easy size tank to replace. wont cost to much |

Acrylic yes. Buffs right out. Glass no, you live with it unfortunately. How bad is it? I personally wouldn't stand it. They bug me down to the deepest emotion.

EXCEPT for when the glass gets dirty. all kinda of crude seems to be attracked to the scratches. thats why i said as long as you keep it real clean it wont be a big deal. Just take it out side real quick, fill it up with water from the hose just to check it out. I assume this was bought used? if so and i was not told it was scratched up i would be talking to the seller |

Yep. Was bought used. ALL kinds of scratches.. I filled it up to check for leaks and let it sit for a few days, full in the garage. No leaks, never really noticed the scratches. I cleaned it as I emptied it with sponge and scraper and started seeing them as the water flushed out. I'm hoping I don't notice then once full. |

Actually, you can get a buffing system for glass. That's what I have, not epoxy. Of course the tank can't be full of water.
