Upside Down Clam? and slime shooting out of holes?
Greetings!
I have a reef aqaurium in my office at work. I just got some live rock and am starting to notice some creatures. Lots of feather dusters, snails, little bugs, worms, sea stars etc. There are two things I cant really identify. 1.) It appears to be an upside down clam which is attached to the live rock. I didn't think it was anything except a weird formation until it opened up part-way and moved a little. Anytime I approach the tank to get a closer look, it slams shut making a photo difficult, but I have attached one (which didnt turn out too well). 2.) On the same piece of live rock, a couple times per day a jet of slime or some sort of goo just shoots out of a hole. I can't see anything in the hole, and I have no idea what would be making this....? Any ideas? So far I've been having a great time with it in my office. There are so many creatures that have been coming out of the live rock, I can't believe it, and it has only been set up for a week! |
