Question for those of you feeding Cyclop-eeze

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the correct forum but I have a questions for those of you feeding cyclop-eeze. I purchased some of the freeze dried product and was wondering how you guys feed that. Do you just break it up and put it right in the tank? The website says that you can mix it with vegetable oil and freeze the cubes. I have tried just putting small flakes in the tank and the fish are not really sure what to do with it.

Any creative ideas regarding what's working well in your reef are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The cyclop-eeze I have is a frozen stick, I just dip it in the water and let some melt off and then put the rest back in the freezer.

Same here, I cut off a small amount, thaw it in some tank water then dump it in.

I do exactly what mrpenguin does. It's really too small for my fish, though (maroon clown and Smith's blenny). They go crazy for it, and will grab what they can, but I think they burn more calories chasing after it than they actually take in. When I used it, I used it at night for my LPS and SPS corals. I'm not sure if it was actually small enough for my SPS, though.

I fill a cup with tank water mix in the freeze dried product then use a turkey baster to squeeze it under the water. The fish and the corals seem to like this. You can also mix with other food this way.

I feed the freeze dried cyclop-eeze. Sometimes during the day for the smaller fish, sometimes at night for my sps. Only thing that sucks is that it floats... The surface waves keep it underwater most of the time, but a lot of it ends up going thru the overflow. I usually mix about a half teaspoon into a cup of water.

I mix some cyclop-eeze with tank water then add some aminos, vitimin C plus some reef snow. Then I use a baster to feed the corals, and the curious shrimp. I have achieved some excellent results with this method.

I use Cyclop-eeze to feed my LPS and Capnella. It is too large for SPS, so whoever is feeding SPS with this product is just polluting water. Actually, I have pretty much stopped using it because I can't find a really good use for it now that I feed my LPS mysis and silversides.

Cyclop-eeze does come in flake form, which is better for feeding fish.

When I do use it, I put it in a cup, add some tank water and mix it using a turkey baster (sucking in, pushing out, etc.) and let it sit for a minute or so. Then it's waterlogged and will sink.

Ive been using the frozen cyclop eeze fro several years now. My guys go crazy for it. I have an extra freezer in the garage so I jus buy it by the case (a lot of $ upfront, but saves a so much when compared to buying the individual sticks) I cut one bag of it up into little cubes and store them all in a ziplock freezer bag -- then twice a day put a cube of the cyclop eeze and my other foods in a cup with warm water then a few minutes later put it in various spots of the tank... the current really takes it-- goes to all my corals and the fish / shrimp, starfish etc go nutz trying to grab some of the still fronzen chunks. I cant tell you how the coloring of the fish imporved after I initially started using it...
