Sarcophyton not openong

Hi guys

I purchases my first coral a mushroom leather coral (Sarcophyton spp). It opened fully for the first couple of days but now has been closed for at least 5 days. Water parameters are ok. I have a frag of sps coral that is in the refugium that is bursting with polyps.

I have read that sometime these corals do not open for some time, should I worry?

I noticed that a small crab has taken to live beneath it! He does not damage it but could his activity be disturb it enough not to open?

Please Help Me

Its normal to close for a number of days. If everything else is OK, and the coral stays closed for longer than a week try moving it. It may be too much light or flow too soon. My sarcophyton does well under MH lighting and high flow but they may need to acclimate.
