Metal Halide for 29g
Looking for one with legs, or a hangable one, around the $250 range, I'm not sure about anything with metal halide, as far as what k to get or anything like that, if someone could help me out it would be great,
Also, will corals, etc glow with metal halide? or do you still need actnic lighting?

I'm using the Aquamedic Ocean 24" over my 29. 1 250w halide and 2 T5 actinics. I hung the fixture such that the lights are just over 9 " above the water. As for the glow, the halides will certainly make things brighter, but you'll still want the actinics for their light spectrum - that will enhance the glow, and more importantly, will help to create the lighting they would get at depth. It was $449 at PA for fixture, bulbs, wiring and ballasts. Hanging kit was included as well.

I use a Sunpod 150W over mine. The fixture is built like a tank. Sadly, I have actually dropped it while it was on, never had a problem with it.
