does hermit crab eat nassarius snail?

this breed

saw it eating my snail, did it hunt down my snail?
or just eating an already dead snail?

the snail it "attacked" has a much smaller shell
furthermore i have standby 2 larger shell for it

still in dilemma whether to sell it or not

hard to tell with those critters. Personally I don't trust them.

I have had the same 5 nas snails and blue leg hermits in my tank for 10 months. No issues yet.

It's definitely not out of the question, especially if the hermit crab has his sights set on that shell. Nice looking hermit, by the way.

thanks but i am not jeopardizing the life of my other nassarius snails
hope it can find a better home

While my micro blue legs and my red legs haven't touched my nassarius snails, I'm of the impression that hermits will eat anything if there's not enough food around.
