Algaefix Marine, by API

Just want to hear from people who have used this product.

I have used it on a nano tank with only 2 fish & it did deal to the bryopsis, tank is nice and clean now.
Wanting to use it on a bigger tank but then heard some negative reports about a similar product (won't mention the name), but several people using it lost fish.

It could be the API product is totally different and totally safe, but anyway safety first, I would just like to hear from anyone who has used it?

Has anyone used it in a SPS tank? I have used similar products on fish only tanks with outstanding results. Scared to try it on a reef even though it says its safe.
