My 120Gal Softie LPS tank
Just taking my time and getting stuff here and there.
I know most hate the wall but I am really starting like how it's turning out. The rocks are anchored to a PVC frame and go strait up and down, there is about a 1.5" space between the rocks and the back of the tank so I still get some good circulation running a Dart pump on an OM supersquirt 4 way Let me know what you think ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm actually a big fan of the reef wall look. The only downside to me is that design eats up a lot of real estate for the open water swimmers, but if your focus is on the corals, it's gonna look great once things grow in. Excellent start!

guess it;ll look very nice when filled with coral however isn't it very difficult to place corals that come on rocks there now?

It looks nice so far. The reef wall isn't really my thing though, but what ever you like is what's important.
I was just recently at an event, and had the pleasure of listening to a presentation on Aquascaping by Scott Fellman. Here's an idea from his presentation, should you tire of the reef wall look: Should you choose, you can easily break up the "Wall Look" by taking the rocks in the middle out, leaving a bit of a channel.

Actually trying to get my corals to grow out and then up like you would see on a reef face. Thought about opening up the middle a little but with T5 lighting that is where most of my PAR is. |
